I used to say…

I used to say that kindness should be unconditional, it must reach everyone no matter where they are and whoever they are. But later on, that belief has changed. Personal experience has taught me the truth about kindness.

When I joined Facebook, this philosophy has been my guide in my social interaction, both with strangers and true friends. The premise with the latter is never to judge anyone not unless they have proven me otherwise. With my true friends, it has always been an enriching interaction, by heart. I trust and love them unconditionally.

I was told several times in the past not to trust strangers and I knew that all along but if I limit myself only to those I know, then how can I spread my advocacy. So I continued to welcome strangers but with limitations, civility is always a mark of people with good breeding.

Then out of that reminder I have learned a lesson that my kindness could be mistaken as a permission for a bisexual to get persistent to woe me.  I eventually blocked her on Facebook, Flickr, Linkedin and in all my other online sites.  But that slanderer is still wallowing in bitterness using her FB space to slander me.

Some men too tried to win my affection online too and my rejection of their proposal made them bitter and full of sarcasm. Since then I do not respond to personal messages not unless I know them well. I never opened my messages from strangers.

I used to say that Kindness should be unconditional, but I need to rephrase my statement with this:

Kindness is unconditional with people who deserve it. Some will naturally see my kindness as a form of weakness or even find that as a signal for them to continue their personal motives against my personal principles. So it has to be conditional with strangers, but unconditional with my true friends.

Oh yes, I am aware about the humane aspect of kindness when we have to be one even if we are in the midst of cruel and selfish individuals.

It is not a problem to me. We come to this world to serve for Islam is community service–SERVICE ABOVE SELF.

I follow the teachings of the dear Prophet Muhammad (swt) but with discernment. For Islam encourages the Muslim Ummah to seek knowledge as well and be well-educated. Islam gives high value for knowledge for it is for our own good. The right knowledge can guide our actions and decisions.

As a Muslim, I always work for the best of others. I have faith in dear Allah’s (swt) guidance for I know that despite of the fact that I feel so loved by my friends and family members, there will always be one or two who will not be pleased with what I do. ENVY is the demon lurking in anyone’s heart and can eventually eat the host if they will not rise above it.

Who we are comes second. It is what we do and how we treat people that comes first. This is my lifetime principle.

Thank you, ANONYMOUS

I woke up with a smile on my face knowing that I am not alone in my Truth advocacy after seeing the Anonymous’s declaration of war against Donald Trumph–the loud bigot who wants to seize the United States of America.

Trump’s racist slur and his call to ban all Muslims from entering the United States despite the fact that he has business dealings with the Islamic world makes me puke.

Thank you, Anonymous. Thank you for your just response to the verbal offense and bigotry of Trump. Your presence in the net will help discipline politicians like Trump to behave in a manner expected of someone aspiring for a responsible position. An irresponsible character like Trump does not deserve the Presidency of the United States.

Trump’s candidacy leaves more questions to me. His style of campaigning addresses the silent majority of Islamophobes who hate Muslims mainly out of hate despite the appeal to reason from objective camps.

Who or which powerful group or powers that be that want him to win? Is it not a fact that those who control the world resources want someone they can manipulate to grab the Presidency. Not someone they can be constantly battling to sustain their existence.

I am not only referring to the Illuminati, and this is not all about conspiracy theory. This is all about the truth. While some factions deny the existence of the “Illuminati” but majority believe they are lurking above the world economy, I remain open to the idea that there are powerful blocs who want to run the world and they may not be necessarily the “Illuminati”.

I live in the Philippines, a country which many credible observers dubbed as the puppet of the United States. From getting foreign funds to its implementation, the United States is always present in all the affairs of this government. So why should I not raise this issue if I can personally relate for my family has been a victim of lies spread in the past relative to the Liguasan Marsh.

Read more about it here: http://baimaleihareviews.blogspot.com/2011/08/official-statement-of-candao-clan-on.html

My family was identified as interested in the Liguasan Marsh when I, being a member of my family, can attest that it was a concoction of lies with the help of some political groups in the Province of Maguindanao in the past, who wanted us to be out of the political equation.

No need to name names but the truth shall manifest itself for dear Allah (swt) will always render HIS justice, slowly but sure. We know what the truth is and we shall stand for it.

As a truth advocate, it is my duty to state the facts more so if you spread lies about my own family.

It is just a choice between tolerating lies or standing up for the truth.

We all have the equal rights to bare the truth and those who chose silence over the truth will have no one to blame but themselves.

Back to your great work, Anonymous. Thank you for standing up for the oppressed. ❤

In this world where Muslims are seen as the bad people, my heart always bleeds with the fellow Ummah who have to bear with the Islamophobes, bigots and plain haters. Reports of being violently mauled for being Muslims add pain in my heart.

Thank you, ANONYMOUS, for showing to the world that what is happening to the Islamic world is not just. Thank you for defending the Muslims from Trump. I know that  most of those who have great minds and hearts are known as ANONYMOUS. Thank you for believing in the preservation of good humanity, of which we all play an important role.

May justice and peace reign in this world. Often said but easier said than done.  But I chose to have faith in the goodness of humanity, no matter what.

Why will you vote for Duterte?

People all over the Philippines have one prominent name in their minds  when asked who will they vote for in the coming 2016 national polls. It is no other than, Rodrigo Duterte. Who does not know about Duterte? He is in every page of the newspapers in the Philippines and has always been featured in foreign sites for his controversial statements about summary executions.

But please do not judge the man not unless you know the entire truth about his leadership, both the unwritten and written ones. There is more to know about him than the political write-ups sprouting in the social media favoring other candidates. Duterte has admitted that he is not a rich man and he is not capable of sustaining a high-cost of media campaign. Unlike his rich opponents, he could not rely on anyone else to campaign for him but those who believe in the change he can bring to this country.

That is the big difference between Duterte and his political adversaries. The people is campaigning for him, not the media. Amazing faith in his person.

Let us ask his supporters why they prefer Duterte over other candidates.

These are their answers:

Ma Regina Sevilla  Because he’s brilliant, compassionate, has a big heart, true to his feelings, totoong Tao siya and he’s amazingly unique!

Aida Edding Igasan  I want to vote for Duterte is because he has a soft heart for us Bangsamoro. He may not be Muslim but he is the only leader I know who sends pilgrimage to Mecca for those deserving ang practising Muslim and I have to thank him for that.My uncle’s husband performed his hajj all for free with allowance courtesy of Mayor Duterte. He is the only presidential candidate who deserves to run and manage the problems of this country with the support of everyone of course.Discipline is what the country needs not Democracy and Duterte has it all.

Tatang Sapal He is one in a million among all politicians! His concern is for the comfort of the people of Davao, not his belly and pocket,He is a man of INTEGRITY.Natural born Leader, humble, with golden heart for the needy ones.

Jamid Mopac He is a true person and has true concern for the Filipinos.

Anisa Taha He has the proof of leadership in Davao, it is the real evidence of political will. If he can manage the largest City in the world then he can manage also the entire country if given a chance.

Dolansz Alegre  because i think, he’s the only one who has the guts to genuinely implement the law, equally and without impartiality.

Dann Al-Moro because of his unique strategy/approach among rebels.

Jihan C. Panda  Because I want him to manage the country (Philippines)like how he managed Davao City. He is the only Presidential candidate that is not a traditional politician.

Ibrahim Kamenza Ibn Bituanan The country needs a determined and sincere president to lead and that is DUTERTE.

Treke Panda Mustapha Action speaks clearer than words. We saw his kind of governance.

Essa Abdulmalik I wouldn’t mind his uncouth expletives and unholy alliance with the left. But he is the only candidate who has the will to extricate the country from its Sisyphean predicament of governance, from Presidential Unitary into Parliamentary Federal. Total revamp of the legislative body is indicative of his reform plan for our country’s political landscape rooted in patronage rather than in meritocracy.

Mai Mi Manalu He is a tested leader and a man of his words.

Aemon Arcayena I will vote for him because I’m hoping so much that peace is in his hands for Mindanao because  he is from Mindanao.

Perlas Ng Silanganan  He speaks his mind and lay his cards on the table. He presents solutions he feels will be for the common good and he has the welfare of the masses in mind above all.

Roaida Bantas For the first time in Philippine history, a candidate like Duterte knows and understand well the struggles and sacrifices of the people of Mindanao. He does not discriminate (the Muslims) unlike the other candidates.

Darping Jov Anta-Kansi Because his running for president and The real possibility that HE CAN WIN should make those who have taken human rights and due process for granted now to take them seriously.

Alfredo N. Teocson  Few men have “green thumbs”….but he is one that strongly aims heaven high.

Kendi Arsitio He is not perfect.. Very far in being perfect to be exact. But for me, he is the least evil among them. And I believe in his governance. May puso sa mga batang may sakit, may malasakit sa kapwa, a firm leader.

Byken Mangelen Duterte is the reason why am resurrected to exercise my freedom of suffrage after more than a decade.

Harun Musa  Duterte is not a US puppet. This is what I like most about him.

There are more who would want their thoughts known but my space will not be able to accommodate them.

The political race in the Philippines come 2016 is quite different from the usual where candidates compete for prime time exposure on television and they get to be talked about. This time, Duterte is hugging the news feeds of the netizens especially on Facebook, and they create memes for their favored candidate. Defending him against his critics.

If change is the very reason why the country has suddenly come to one decision, at least the majority of the Filipinos, or perhaps sixty percent of the population want him in the palace (read: latest survey says Duterte tops the presidential race) then I think we know who will win in 2016.

A woman to woman talk

A woman to woman talk

Since I have dedicated my time to write for peace through motivating and inspiring people to adopt a positive view of life, my fellow women are always in the center of my advocacy.

My bias for mothers or women in general has been carried on to my charity works by desiring to have more women on my recipient list.

It is not unnatural for a woman like me to feel for them because I understand their woes and pains. I am a mother and fought strongly to be liberated from a wrong relationship.

I own my faults for my personal flaws but I would not submit to a relationship that would not allow my growth. No law or man can repress me for I shall rise.

On facebook, I bring the thought of empowerment seriously so I created a facebook page for this.

The main idea is to have a space where ideas and suggestions meet, where problems are analysed pro-actively.

Re-accentuating my point that I feel for my fellow women, I am referring to a sector of women that understands their rights and privileges.

Women who want to stand up for their shared privileges in this world that would enhance their persons. Women who know what selfless community service means and not those who parade their physical assets to cater to the lust of men.

Women who respect their bodies, minds and soul. Women who are dignified in many ways and not those who merely depend on men’s love and approval which stifles their opportunity to advance their minds and spirit. One can love but must not surrender her personal liberties. The thing called “freedom” is the sanity of existence. This sense of “liberty” shapes every woman’s concept of herself.

Strong headed as I am, my spirit would always rise no matter how many times I fall. With this disposition, I share with my fellow women the beauty of life defined by them and not by others.

I understand that I am a Muslimah, but my faith will not stop me from reaching out to all the women of the universe. For my religion is not a block to understanding the plight of women. The Almighty Allah shall guide my advocacy of peace and interfaith co-existence. My conscience shall carry no discrimination, racism and hate.I have survived a lot of experiences in life that tested my outlook. Never once did I give up and submit myself to a situation that killed me figuratively. Agony in life is a test, it is not a lock to stop you from conquering your own weakness.

Rise up and be strong. Never tell yourself that fate is above you. You are your fate. God only guides. Choices are in your hands.

Love has come to me, in its real essence. However, I always have the mindset to free what is not fulfilling. Love is always an experience of letting go and not holding on. Perhaps, if I know that what is being offered to me is true, fair and has a future, then love will conquer me. I know that it is before me now with Allah’s guidance. I leave everything to the Almighty Allah.

The “future” I am referring to is about having one goal and vision while in a relationship. It means having one goal for the same advocacy for it will surely occupy most of my time and if my partner will think more of himself then I would be imprisoned in a relationship that would not allow me to reach out to others .

At first glance, some relationships look promising but as days go deeper and difference of interests becomes clear, the future looks gloomy.

My dear sisters, I am writing with utmost sincerity to tell you that what you are experiencing in life is not new to me. Let me remind you that you are more powerful than any sad experience in your life. Thou shall not surrender to challenges.

Stand up with a smile.

Life is a beautiful journey only if you sustain a mindset that views struggles as the shaping of your internal strength;or that every sad experience as a test of your endurance.

There is always God to pray for. He will not forsake you. Keep building your faith in Him and in yourself.

You have to stand alone if you must but always be humble of your worth. Let those around you appreciate you but keep your opinion of yourself in silence. You are not the right person who should talk of your achievements, let those whose lives you have touched confirm that.

Fellow woman, I am here. if you share my advocacy and my principles, I welcome you to my world. As long as our friendship will not serve any other purpose other than helping others, I will be here to be a true friend. For anything noble, selfless and true deserves utmost attention.

I am a woman, therefore I am here for my fellow women.

It will pass….

You will get hurt but it will pass. You will be pained but it will pass. Nothing is permanent in this world, my dear. One thing that you need to count on is yourself–your ability to rise after a fall.

Please always move on with grace. Life is beautiful only if you would not fail to exist. There are many things on this world that you can do..because you need to believe in yourself before anyone else can believe in you.

Rise above the hurts my dear. For everything must pass but you need to remain standing, with a greater determination.

I have faith in you, my dear. 🙂

The Equal Mind

This image was sourced from the internet. What captured my attention is how the owner wanted to convey his/her thoughts. Every photograph has a message and this one seems weird but quite effective in grabbing attention.

I find it eerie but fascinating. The goth community loves images of this kind. They are always misunderstood but they have a different culture that is weird for most of us. Like other sectors of this society, we need to study their culture before we judge them. To understand the perspective of those called “weird” might be a refreshing experience. After all, we want the same for our advocacy and principles as well.

Our society is always bias to what has popular following. In return, we have forgotten that the truth is not always popular or self-serving, but it is deserving of acknowledgement. We cannot segregate the unpopular truth from its opposite. We need to build an institution that embraces an “equal mind.”

What is an Equal Mind? An equal mind does not advance uniformity nor unchallenged perception. I am always for a healthy debate and objective understanding of any system. My idea of a equal mind is something that addresses “equal footing and equal opportunities and rights.” No one can argue about equal rights because it is provided for in the Philippine Constitution (read: I was born in the Philippines).

I just brought up this issue to invite you to think more deeply on setting the perimeters of social status on the zero level. I am not saying that we should ignore those who have more personal achievements than the rest. What I am exactly saying is for us to consider thinking that the government resources should be shared equally and that everyone, regardless of their status in life, should have a fair say on the running of their respective community affairs.

Sadly, this is not new to most of us. We are all aware of this. That is why many street activists drumbeat ” equality” as a must in our socio-political mainstream. It is a fact that when we want to institutionalize fairness, we want equality.

I might sound idealistic but my point is too practical to label as technical. In your daily interaction, you can apply this mentality when you have government funds to divide, and let those who have less have more.

This is just a reminder that in the eyes of God, everyone is equal.

Why, that sad face? Do you want to understand why there are people in your life who would choose to hurt you than love you?

You want to understand why they make you feel unloved for one moment then cared for the next day. You want to understand why they seem inconsistent.

But did you ever try to understand them?

Did you go further from judging them? Did you care to understand why they do things the way they did?

Are you aware that they too are going through some personal pains but they do not bother to let you know for they do not like to upset you?

Did you ever try to know if they feel loved and respected by you? For if not, then why are you complaining if they do not seem to understand you if you do not understand them at all?

You want to understand why those things you expect do not happen. You want to understand why you cannot get the things you want. But did you ever try to understand why things happen the way you do not want them to be? Did you care to know the reasons behind?

You want to understand why life is not kind to you. But did you ever count your blessings? Did you ever try to look beyond your windows and see the sufferings outside which you find no time to look at because you are too self-focused?

You want to understand why you are like that. Is it because you are used to being understood and could get anything you want until some changes occurred?

You want to understand if those you detest understand you? For if not, then they should know what is in your heart and mind.

You owe them an understanding, too.

This life is not just about us. It is about others too and taking time to understand them a little more will lighten up your woes because you will discover that it is not you alone who is suffering, they are, too.
